Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 3, 2026
Last Updated: August 11, 2026
1. Introduction
REDO Task Manager ("REDO," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Salient Vision Technologies, LLC ("Company"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our task management application and related services ("Service").
By using our Service, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you sign in through Knomee or Google, we receive the identifiers and profile information needed to authenticate and display your account.
- Task Data: Task titles, descriptions, due dates, priority levels, and completion status.
- User Preferences: Application settings, display preferences, and sync configurations.
- Communication Data: Information you provide when you contact us for support.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Information: How you interact with our Service, stored locally where possible.
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device information needed for compatibility.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: Session management and preferences.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Google Services: Google profile information, Google Tasks data, and Google Calendar data when you authorize those integrations.
- Knomee and OAuth Providers: Authentication status, linked identity identifiers, and basic profile information required for the sign-in method you choose.
3. How We Use Google User Data
REDO accesses the following Google data only with your explicit authorization:
- Google Tasks (read/write, supported web surfaces only): When you separately authorize this integration, we access your Google Tasks to provide the task actions shown by that Redo client.
- Google Calendar (read-only, supported web surfaces only): When you separately authorize this integration, we access your calendar list and events to display schedule context. REDO does not create, edit, delete, share, or export Google Calendar events.
- Google Profile (read-only): We access your name, email, and profile picture solely for authentication and displaying your identity within the app.
Limited Use Disclosure: REDO's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We only use Google user data to provide and improve the task management features you have explicitly authorized. We do not use Google user data for advertising, market research, or any purpose unrelated to the Service's core functionality.
4. How We Use Your Information
4.1 Primary Service Functions
- Provide and maintain our task management Service.
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- Provide separately authorized Google Tasks and Calendar features on clients that support them.
- Store and organize your task data.
- Enable data backup and restoration.
4.2 Service Improvement, Security, and Compliance
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support.
- Develop new features and enhancements.
- Ensure security and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service.
5. Data Storage and Retention
5.1 Local Storage
Primary Storage: Your task data is stored locally on your device using browser storage. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly sync with cloud services.
Retention: Local data persists until you clear it in the application, uninstall the native app, or reset browser storage. Deleting a cloud account does not silently erase the local signed history on each device.
5.2 Cloud Services
Google Services: When you sync with Google Tasks or view Google Calendar events, that data is subject to Google's privacy policy and retention practices.
Firebase (Google Cloud): If you use cloud synchronization, your task data may be stored on Firebase servers operated by Google Cloud, subject to their data processing terms.
5.3 Data Retention Periods
- Active Account Data: Retained while your account is active.
- Authentication Tokens: Retained only as needed to maintain authorized sessions and integrations.
- Google User Data: Retained only while your Google account is connected; you may revoke access at any time through Google Account settings.
- Support Communications: Retained for up to 3 years from last interaction.
- Replay Protection: After account deletion, identifiers are removed from used sign-in proof records. A one-way message hash and timestamp may remain to prevent reuse of an old proof.
- Deletion Safety: A minimal namespace tombstone and completion timestamp remain after cloud-account deletion so cached credentials cannot recreate the deleted account or resume synchronization.
5.4 Account and Cloud-Data Deletion
Supported Redo clients provide an in-app Delete Cloud Account action. After explicit confirmation, Redo deletes the Firebase authentication account, Knomee link, account documents, cloud backups, disposable sync manifests, and unshared remote task nodes. For a signed node that another account can access, Redo removes the deleting account's access grant and preserves the shared recipient's copy.
A minimal deletion tombstone remains to block synchronization by cached credentials. It contains no task content, profile details, authentication token, or Knomee address.
Local signed task history remains on each device until it is separately cleared or the app is uninstalled. This protects offline data from being erased without a distinct local action.
6. Information Sharing and Disclosure
6.1 We Do Not Sell Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not sell Google user data under any circumstances.
6.2 Authorized Sharing
- With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing or integration.
- Third-Party Integrations: Google Tasks and Google Calendar services you connect.
- Service Providers: Hosting, authentication, and infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or court order.
7. Your Privacy Rights
- Access: Request information about data we process.
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion: Delete your cloud account in the app or contact support for help with a deletion request.
- Portability: Receive your data in a portable format where applicable.
- Revoke Google Access: Disconnect your Google account at any time via Google Account Permissions.
8. Data Security
- Encryption: Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
- Cryptographic Integrity: Task data is protected with Ed25519 signatures and SHA-256 content hashing.
- Access Controls: Personal data access is limited through Firebase security rules and account authentication.
- Authentication: REDO uses secure OAuth 2.0 authentication protocols.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. When we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent lawful transfer mechanisms where required.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or under 16 in the European Union. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without proper consent, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will update the "Last Updated" date and provide additional notice through the Service or email when appropriate.
